Hello.
Are you tired of all the noise and horrible smells of petrol of the city?
Are you tried of all the studying for Chinese?
Are you lacking the adventure factor in you life?
Do you want to spice up the boring life of yours?
Do you want to have a day out in the embrace of mother nature?
Do you want to go for a hike with your squadmates?
Well then.
We have just the thing for you!
It is squad activity time!
There will be a hiking trip on the 1st of November, Saturday, at 10am. (Time may be subjected to changes due to unforeseen circumstances)
Venue: Kent Ridge Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, Mt Faber, Vivo City
Our start point will be at the Kent Ridge Park, and the end point will be at Vivo City.
We will be passing by some of the most beautiful natural and man-made spots of Singapore, such as the canopy walk at Kent Ridge Park, the Alexandra Arch, the Treetop walk, and last but not least, the Henderson Wave!
Never heard of them? No worries! All the more you should come and see it with you own eyes!
It will be a full day activity, from the time 10am to an estimated time of 6pm.
Stuff to bring:
1. A backpack to put in all the stuff you need
2. Water bottle
3. Some money for dinner at Vivo City
4. A camera just in case you want to take photos
5. Sunblock, not suntan lotion
6. Ez-link card
7. Handphone
8. Any other things as you deem fit to bring
Attire: You may come in whatever attire you want, but as this is a hiking trip, I would suggest a simple shirt, shorts/bermudas, sport shoes. As much as possible, try not to come in sandals/slippers.
How to get to Kent Ridge Park:
Take the MRT to Buona Vista Station (Yes yes I know), and go to the Bus stop other side of the road via the overhead bridge, the side whereby MOE is, and take bus 92 all the way INTO Science Park drive.Kent Ridge Park lies just there.
As for getting home from Vivo City, I hope there is not a need to tell you
Please be reminded to have a heavy breakfast before you come, as lunch will not be provided.
Snacks or bread of any sort will be most welcome, but keep everything light, as it will be long hike.
The trip will be almost free, and the only thing you need to pay for is the transport fees and your own dinner.
Do not worry about not knowing how to go about hiking from Kent Ridge Park to Vivo City. I am sure we can bash our way out together as a squad.
